21st ZEW Summer Workshop for Young Economists
ZEW Summer WorkshopAdvances in Empirical Public Economics
The ZEW – Leibniz Centre for European Economic Research is pleased to invite submissions for its 21st Summer Workshop for Young Economists in Mannheim on 17–19 July 2019. This year’s workshop will cover recent topics and methods adopted in empirical public economics. A particular focus will be on causal inference as well as structural methods in public policy evaluations.
The workshop will bring together international doctoral students and postdocs for three days of intensive training. The summer workshop will include lectures given by three leading economists and paper presentations allowing the participants to present and discuss their work as well as to receive valuable advice.
Young academics who wish to attend the workshop are invited to submit a paper. We particularly welcome empirical submissions from the fields of public finance and social policy as well as methodological contributions in tax policy and public policy evaluations in a broader sense.
