The Future of Cohesion Policy

Workshop

Cohesion policy is an important building block of European solidarity. At the same time, it absorbs a significant share of the EU budget at a time when the EU is facing major new spending needs. Established as a policy to promote the convergence of European regions, its scope has grown over time.

But what do we really know about the effectiveness and efficiency of the policy? What are the key factors determining its success or failure? How should the policy be adapted in the post-2027 programming period? This webinar will explore what we know about the performance of cohesion policy. Speakers will benefit from recent in-depth research they have conducted to inform the emerging reform debate on the future of cohesion.

The audience will be able to ask questions in the chat.
