Inaugural Meeting on The Economics of Science
WorkshopThe inaugural meeting "The Economics of Science" is organised and conducted as a workshop in the context of the scientific area programme "The Economics of Science" by the Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW) on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the Project Management Agency of DLR (PT-DLR).
The inaugural meeting "The Economics of Science" is dedicated to two goals:
- Exchange and discussion of the knowledge on current topics of the economics of science
- Presentation of recent projects and support of the cross-linkage between the projects funded within the BMBF’s scientific area programme "The Economics of Science".
In Mannheim, the participating researchers as well as the interested professional audience from the field of politics, from research institutions, and research administration, are given the opportunity to discuss recent topics of the economics of science and to get to know the projects funded by BMBF.
Paula Stephan, PhD, professor at the Georgia State University, Atlanta (USA), will hold the inaugural lecture on the economics of science.
