The research area “Health at work” investigates the role of health-related social insurance systems in labour markets of developed economies, giving particular attention to systems of paid sick leave, sickness benefits and reduced earning capacity pension. We analyse the relevance of these social insurance systems for the reintegration of unemployed individuals who suffer from health problems and related disadvantages.
