The European Eco-Innovation Observatory: Concept, Experience and Way Forward
Research SeminarsThe lecture presents the concept and experience of the European Eco-Innovation Observatory. The Eco-Innovation Observatory (EIO) is a three-year initiative established in 2010 and financed by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for the Environment from the Competitiveness and Innovation framework Programme (CIP). The Observatory is developing an integrated information source and a series of analyses on eco-innovation trends and markets, targeting business, innovation service providers, policy makers as well as researchers and analysts. The presentation will discuss how the evidence base of the EIO has been constructed and how it has been used to support the EIO business and policy "narratives". More information on the EIO and all reports are available for free download at http://www.eco-innovation.eu.
