Climate Policy and Energy Security

Period: 01.06.2007 – 30.04.2008

Climate policy and energy security issues are ranking high on the policy agenda in Europe. While the climate change bears the characteristics of a global public good problem this is less the case for energy security issues – at least on an international scale. The project analysed EU policies towards Russia related to climate as well as energy policy with respect to their constructive or destructive interference with energy security or climate policy goals. Furthermore the project identifed key issues for European policy making in this area.
