Labour Adjustments to New Technologies and Globalisation

ZEW and the EPoS Collaborative Research Center Transregio 224 at the University of Mannheim jointly organise a workshop on the topic of globalisation, new technologies, and the labour market. We are pleased to announce the talk of Professor Phillippe Aghion (Collège de France and LSE) on Automation and the labour market: evidence from France and the talk of Professor John Van Reenen (LSE) on Labour markets and innovation. In addition, there will be eleven talks covering various topics such as automation and robots, firm heterogeneity, international trade and their implications for labour markets including employment, wage inequality, labour shares and migration.
