Professor Achim Wambach, PhD, Elected New Chairman of the Monopolies Commission

Professor Achim Wambach, PhD, who will take office as the President of the Mannheim-based Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW) in April 2016, is the new Chairman of the Monopolies Commission. Wambach has been member of the Monopolies Commission since July 1, 2014. The Commission members have unanimously elected him as their new chairman.

The Monopolies Commission is an independent expert committee, which advises the German government and legislature in the areas of competition policy-making, competition law, and regulation. Its reports are being published.
