ZEW Seminar Programme for 2017/18 Now Available
Knowledge Transfer and Qualification ProgrammesThe new Seminar Programme of the Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW) has been released, featuring an extended range of seminars. The programme includes, for instance, a newly developed seminar on virtual presentations, which aims to provide participants with the latest and most important methods of communication in the virtual space. ZEW offers scientifically grounded qualification programmes for specialists and executive staff from all areas.
At the heart of ZEW’s professional training programme are the expert seminars. The training experts of ZEW’s Service Department “Knowledge Transfer & Qualification Programmes” develop these qualification programmes in collaboration with ZEW’s research units and external experts from relevant fields. Such collaboration means that programmes combine the latest results from research with practical experience. Through these programmes, ZEW provides practical and high-quality seminars on basic- and advanced-level economics, as well as key soft skills. Cutting-edge topics as well as the lecturers’ scientific and methodological expertise enable an efficient learning experience. This year, ZEW for the first time offers a seminar on the application of geographic information systems, which focuses on the basic skills required for the work with spatial data as well as the practical application of such systems.
In addition to expert seminars, ZEW also offers inhouse seminars and training sessions, which are specifically designed for businesses and organisations. These training programmes are tailored to clients’ individual needs by ZEW qualification experts and may be provided in German or English. Published in a more modern and appealing design, the new seminar programme is strongly in line with the institute’s forward-thinking outlook.
