Personnel Change in ZEW Supervisory Board – Departure of Gerhard Stratthaus

At the most recent meeting of the Supervisory Board of ZEW Mannheim, Chairman Dr. Hans Reiter (ministerial director of the Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts of Baden-Württemberg) personally welcomed Albrecht Schütte as a new member for the first time. Schütte, who is a member of the State Parliament of Baden-Württemberg, succeeds former Minister Gerhard Stratthaus, who had been a member of the ZEW Supervisory Board since 2002.

ZEW President Professor Achim Wambach and ZEW Managing Director Thomas Kohl thank Gerhard Stratthaus for his strong commitment. ZEW President Achim Wambach: “Gerhard Stratthaus has played a decisive role in shaping the work of the Supervisory Board through his dedication for twenty years. Under his chairmanship from 2002 to 2012, he put great effort into ZEW’s admission to the Leibniz Association in 2004 as well as ZEW’s first evaluation in 2009, which went successfully.” ZEW Managing Director Thomas Kohl says: “Gerhard Stratthaus has helped build countless milestones of ZEW through his long-standing as well as energetic support as a member of the Supervisory Board. In particular, we have greatly appreciated his support for our flexible and trend-setting financial statutes as well as the intensive exchange with him on financial policy issues.”
