Ministry of Finance Appoints Three New Members to the ZEW Supervisory Board

The new members of the Supervisory Board of the Centre for European Economic Research GmbH (ZEW), Mannheim, are State Secretary Dr. Dietrich Birk MdL, Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts Baden-Württemberg, Professor Dr. Dietmar Hoff, PhD, Ludwig Maximilians University Munich, Director of the Institute for Innovation Research, Technology Management and Entrepreneurship and Dr. Cornelia Ruppert, Head of Ministry Division, Ministry of Finance Baden-Württemberg. The following members retired from the Supervisory Board: Former Ministerial Director Dr. Rainer Hägele, Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts Baden-Württemberg, Prof. em. Dr. Egon Lorenz, Mannheim University and Norbert Schmitt, Head of Ministry Division, Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Finance.

Further current members of the ZEW Supervisory Board are: Gerhard Stratthaus MdL (Chairman of the Supervisory Board), Ministry of Finance Baden-Württemberg, Prof. Axel Börsch-Supan, PhD, Mannheim Research Institute for the Economics of Aging (MEA) and Mannheim University, Prof. Dr. Claus Eiselstein, Director, Ministry of State Baden-Württemberg, Prof. em. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Otto H. Jacobs, Mannheim University, Dr. Theo Spettmann, Spokesman of the Executive Board of Südzucker AG Mannheim/Ochsenfurth, Dr. h.c. Eggert Voscherau, Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board of BASF AG and Dagmar Wöhrl MdB, Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry for Economics and Technology.
