Dr. Andreas Dulger Confirmed at the Board of the ZEW Sponsors' Association

At the meeting of the Sponsors' Association for Science and Practice of the Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW) on 12 January 2007, Dr. Andreas Dulger, CEO of ProMinent Dosiertechnik GmbH, was confirmed in his position as member of the Executive Board of the Sponsors' Association.

Further members of the ZEW Sponsors' association are the Chair Dr. Dr. Peter Bettermann (spokesman of the Management Board at Freudenberg & Co. KG), Dr. Kurt W. Bock (Chief Financial Officer at BASF AG), Dr. Uwe Schroeder-Wildberg (CEO of MLP AG) and Dr. Alexander Selent (Vice-Chair of the Management Board at Fuchs Petrolub AG).

At the meeting of last Friday, the ZEW Sponsors' Association decided to support four research projects in 2007 providing a total amount of 100,000 euros. This is the highest amount of funding the Sponsors' Association has ever approved. In its 14 years of existence, the association has supported 29 research projects with a total volume of 720,000 euros.

In 1993, business representatives joined together to form the Sponsors' Association for Science and Practice at the Centre for European Economic Research to support the work at ZEW. Today, the association consists of 113 members as well as of renowned regional and national companies. This is the highest number of members recorded since the foundation of the Sponsors' Association.
