Ernst-O. Schulze, Former Longtime ZEW Director of Business and Administration, Celebrates 70th Birthday

Ernst-O. Schulze, longtime Director of Business and Administration at the Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW), Mannheim, celebrates his 70th birthday on 23 July 2009.

Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Wolfgang Franz, ZEW President, congratulates the former member of ZEW executive directors and pays him a tribute describing him as "research manager, who due to his competence, experience and contacts in the field of research helped to form the successful foundation and expansion of ZEW."

Schulze, resident of Bruchsal, became Director of Business and Administration at the newly founded ZEW at the end of 1990. He was responsible for managing ZEW together with Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Heinz König and since 1997 with König's successor Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Wolfgang Franz. Schulze retired on 23 July 2004. However, he still holds close links to ZEW and is a member in ZEW alumni network, which was formed by former employees of the research institute.
