The Ministerial Directors Dr. Hans Freudenberg and Dr. Rainer Hägele Appointed New Members of the ZEW Supervisory Board

Dr. Hans Freudenberg, Head of Ministry Department at the Baden-Wuerttemberg Ministry of Economic Affairs, and Dr. Rainer Hägele, Head of Ministry Department at the Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts Baden-Wuerttemberg, have been appointed members of the Supervisory Board of the Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW) in Mannheim. Freudenberg supersedes Dr. Friedrich Bullinger, Head of Ministry Department at the Baden-Wuerttemberg Ministry of Economic Affairs, and Hägele replaces Wolfgang Fröhlich, Head of Ministry Department at the Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts Baden-Wuerttemberg.

The other members of the ZEW Supervisory Board currently are: Gerhard Stratthaus MdL (chairman), Minister of Finance of the federal state of Baden-Wuerttemberg; Prof. Dr. Dr. Juergen Strube, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of BASF Aktiengesellschaft; Prof. Axel Börsch-Supan, PhD, Mannheim Research Institute for the Economics of Aging (MEA) and University of Mannheim; Prof. Dr. Claus Eiselstein, Director, Ministry of State Baden-Wuerttemberg; Prof. em. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Otto H. Jacobs, University of Mannheim; Prof. em. Dr. Egon Lorenz, University of Mannheim; Norbert Schmitt, Head of Ministry Division, Baden-Wuerttemberg Ministry of Finance; Dr. Theo Spettmann, Spokesman of the Executive Board, Südzucker AG Mannheim/Ochsenfurt and Dagmar Wöhrl, MdB, Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology.
