Conditions for the Assignment of Temporary Workers
Temporary agency work has gained in importance as a means to increase labour market flexibility over the last decade. However, our knowledge concerning the structure of the temporary work industry and the conditions for the lease of staff to user enterprises is still incomplete. At the core of this project is a survey among temporary work agencies. The questionnaire contains sections concerning the number of staff leased to user enterprises, their occupations and qualifications, the fees charged to the user enterprises and the duration of the average assignment. The data will then be condensed to a comprehensive picture of the temporary work industry. In a further step, the survey data may be merged with data on the user enterprises in order to estimate the demand for temporary work.
