Employment in High-Tech Start-Ups: Analyses based on a new Link-Employer-Employee-Data Set

Detailed analyses concerning the form, structure and dynamics of employment in new high-tech ventures have been rare because of lacking data. In order to fill this gap data of the ZEW High-tech Start-up Panel 2007 will be linked to employment data of the German Federal Employment Agency. Various themes as the influence of employees’ characteristics on firm performance, wages and employment dynamics in young high-tech firms are to be covered in the context of this project.
