Individual coaching for line managers is scarcely used by enterprises until now. As a consequence, there is almost no independent evidence on the effects of this relatively new qualification tool which is praised as an effective instrument in the theoretical literature. This project analyses the effects of individual coaching on line managers in a joint project with an enterprise that recently introduced this measure. Hereby an experimental situation can be exploited because the selection of managers into participation at coaching was not systematic.
