The Links between Job Creation, Innovation, Education and Training: An Assessment of Policies Pursued at EU Level

The study analyses how the EU cooperation strategies in the realms of employment, innovation and human capital interact in shaping labour market dynamics and influence the quantity and quality of new jobs. It obtains a judgement whether the current policies pursued at the EU level are appropriate to reach the Lisbon target of generating higher growth and more and better jobs through enhanced skills and innovation.
