Pensions and Sustainable Financial Markets
Steffen Sebastian is Professor of Real Estate Finance at the IRE|BS International Real Estate Business School and director at the Center for Finance at the University of Regensburg, Germany. Furthermore, he is a Research Associate of the ZEW, Mannheim. At ZEW, he works in close cooperation with the research unit “Pensions and Sustainable Financial Markets”, especially within the Leibniz-Network “Real Estate and Capital Markets” (ReCapNet).
He holds a graduate diploma in Business Administration from the University of Mannheim (Germany) and from ESSEC (France). He also holds a Doctor degree from the University of Mannheim (Germany) and a Habilitation degree from Goethe-University, Frankfurt (Germany). His research focuses are indirect real estate investments, real estate indices, real estate derivatives and asset allocation. He has contributed to a number of academic journals and is a member of the editorial board of European Journal of Real Estate Research and the German Journal of Property Research. He is a member of the board of the European Real Estate Society (ERES) and head of the competence group “Indirect Investment” of the Society of Property Researchers, Germany.
