5th ReCapNet Conference "Real Estate Markets and Capital Markets"

The Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW) organised the fifth annual ReCapNet conference on October 18-19, 2013. The Real Estate and Capital Markets Network (ReCapNet) emerged from a Leibniz research project and has developed into a well-established international research network. Ten interdisciplinary papers were presented at the conference. Topics included Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs), the demand for mortgage insurances, the effect of policy incentives promoting “green” buildings, the demand for private housing over the life cycle as well as micro- and macroeconomic factors of commercial real estate pricing. Next year, ZEW will host the sixth ReCapNet conference on October 24-25, 2014. The call for papers will be released in December this year.
