Carlos Carreira Visiting Researcher at ZEW

Carreira, PhD, was a visiting researcher in ZEW’s Research Department “Industrial Economics and International Management” in the research area "Firm Foundations and the Growth of Start-Ups" from June 15 to July 15, 2015. He is Assistant Professor at the University of Coimbra in Portugal and member of its research unit “Group for Monetary and Financial Studies”. His research interests lie in the field of market entries and exits, their impact on productivity development and regional growth as well as international competitiveness. During his stay, he worked together with ZEW researchers on a comparison of the industry dynamics in Portugal and Germany.
