DGFP Experience-Exchange at ZEW

On April 15, 2016, the Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW) hosted the Mannheim-based experience-exchange group of the German Association for People Management (DGFP e.V.). Around 20 business executives and professionals exchanged information and discussed current questions arising in the field of people management.

ZEW Director of Business and Administration, Thomas Kohl, welcomed the group and provided an overview of the work carried out by ZEW. Nadine Ceruti, a lawyer specialising in labour law, gave a presentation on the legal framework for mobile work. This was followed by a presentation of current research findings from ZEW. Dr Susanne Steffes, deputy head of the Research Department "Labour Markets, Human Resources and Social Policy", and Daniel Erdsiek, a researcher in the Research Department "Information and Communication Technologies", presented results from projects focussing on the potentials and challenges of mobile work. In the afternoon, participants were able to further discuss topics with the experts.
