ZEW Economist Zareh Asatryan Receives Friedrich August von Hayek Award

Dr. Zareh Asatryan, researcher at ZEW’s Research Department "Corporate Taxation and Public Finance", was awarded the Friedrich August von Hayek Award for his doctoral thesis by the University of Freiburg. The award honours outstanding doctoral and master's theses at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Freiburg. In his doctoral thesis, ZEW Economist Asatryan analysed the influence of direct democracy on local public finances in Germany.
