ZEW Environmental Economists Present Research Findings at EAERE in Manchester

24th Annual Conference of the European Association of Environmental and Resource Economists (EAERE)

From 26–29 June 2019, eight doctoral and post-doctoral researchers from ZEW’s Research Department "Environmental and Resource Economics, Environmental Management" were in Manchester at this year’s conference of EAERE, the European Association of Environmental and Resource Economists. The ZEW researchers presented on-going or published work, amongst others, on the German electricity distribution sector and environmental clauses in international trade agreements. Furthermore, they organized a policy session on the role of non-state actors in climate policy.

The European Association of Environmental and Resource Economists (EAERE) is an international scientific association with approximately 1,200 members from over 60 countries from Europe and beyond. The association organizes an annual conference in order to give its members the opportunity to network, exchange ideas and discuss a wide range of current topics in environmental and resource economics. This year’s annual conference, which was held in Manchester, UK, was attended by approximately 800 participants, including many well-known scholars.
