Digitalisation in the Construction Industry: Opportunities and Challenges

On behalf of the Federal Institute for Research on Building, Urban Affairs and Spatial Development (BBSR) and the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB), the Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW) in Mannheim analyses in what way digitalisation contributes to the productivity of the construction industry, and what factors boost or inhibit the digital transformation.

Within the framework of this project ZEW will organise the workshop “Digitalisation in the Construction Industry: Opportunities and Challenges”. The event aims to bring together various actors which are involved in the value creation chain in the construction industry, in order to incorporate in the project as much know-how as possible regarding the digitalisation of this industry.
