As part of the ZEW lecture series "First-Hand Information on Economic Policy", Markus K. Brunnermeier, professor of Economics at Princeton University and advisor to the IMF and the Deutsche Bundesbank, will outline the central ideas contained in his recently published book, "The Euro and the Battle of Ideas". In his book, Brunnermeier formulates a new approach to saving the Euro and the eurozone.
After his presentation, Brunnermeier will discuss his ideas with Sascha Steffen, head of the Research Department "International Finance and Financial Management". The audience will also have the opportunity to participate in what promises to be an interesting panel discussion. The debate will be moderated by ZEW President Professor Achim Wambach. The presentation and question session will be held in German.
