The Future of Market-Creating Research and Innovation in Europe

First-Hand Information on Economic Policy

Since 2014, Carlos Moedas has been EU Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation as a member of the Juncker Commission. One of his aims is finding practical solutions to implement a more innovation-conducive climate in Europe and to accelerate market-introduction of research findings.

In his lecture "The Future of Market-Creating Research and Innovation in Europe", he will explain how he plans to lead the European economy to radical innovations. Both the German economy and companies face that challenge, and it is also a core topic of ZEW research.

The subsequent debate offers the chance for intensive exchange with the Commissioner.
