ZEW President Wolfgang Franz Appointed as New Chairman of the German Council of Economic Experts

The members of the German Council of Economic Experts have elected Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Wolfgang Franz, president of the Centre for European Economic Research (ZEW) in Mannheim, as their new chairman for a period of three years.

Meanwhile, Franz is in his third term of office at the German Council of Economic Experts. He had already been a member of this advisory body from 1994 to 1999 and was reappointed in 2003.
