Environmental and Climate Economics
Anna Straubinger studied transport economics with a focus on transport policy and spatial economics at TU Dresden. From 2017 to 2022, she worked as a researcher in the economics and transportation team of the interdisciplinary aviation research institute Bauhaus Luftfahrt e. V. In the meantime, she worked on her doctoral thesis as an external PhD candidate at the Department of Spatial Economics at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
In her dissertation, Anna Straubinger used spatial equilibrium models to investigate the long-run effects of urban air mobility on households and the environment. Her previous work has been published in Transportation Research Part A, C and D, and the Journal of Air Transport Management, among others. In September 2022, she joined ZEW’s Research Unit “Environmental and Climate Economics” as a researcher. Her research interests include numerical simulations and analytical approaches, especially in the fields of transport economics and transport policy.
