Microsimulation of Family and Marriage Related Public Policies from a Life-Cycle Perspective
Microsimulation of Family and Marriage Related Public Policies from a Life-Cycle Perspective
Period:
15.08.2011 – 31.12.2012
The project extends the evaluation of German family policies by taking into account the life-cycle dimension. The study begins by documenting typical patterns of use of these measures over the life cycle. A particular focus is put on important transitions in family life such as the birth of a child, marriage, separation and divorce. Finally, the study investigates to what extent family policy affects households even beyond the family phase properly speaking, that is, after the last child has left the parental household.
