Special Issue on: Energy Conservation

This special issue's aim is to first provide ample and reliable empirical evidence on genuine energy savings and their specific cost resulting from conservation programs implemented all around the world. Second, while traditional empirical strategies frequently based on {\it ex ante} engineering estimates typically fail to uncover genuine effects of energy conservation measures, new conceptual approaches to the measurement of actual changes in consumer behavior and, hence, genuine energy savings shall be presented. Original research papers pursuing the journal style are invited in the following areas but may also address closely related topics: Case Studies providing information on specific cost and actual energy savings. New conceptual approaches to the measurement of energy savings. The rebound effect in energy conservation: New empirical evidence. Deadline and Referee Process: Full papers submitted to be considered for possible publication should be sent no later than the end of February 2003. Papers will be reviewed until the end of April 2003.
