20 Years of Commitment: Bardy Family Supports ZEW

Silvia and Dr. Roland Bardy have been members of the ZEW Sponsors’ Association for Science and Practice for twenty years. On the occasion of this anniversary, the couple made a donation to ZEW for the purchase of a large screen. The screen will be used at scientific conferences, lectures and internal events. State-of-the-art presentation technology will provide for high-quality transmissions and better connectivity for remote participation in events.

Their support over many years is a good example of how individual members of society make an important contribution to science”, underlines ZEW President Achim Wambach, PhD. Claudia von Schuttenbach, managing director of ZEW, adds: “Excellence in science needs cutting-edge technical infrastructure. Private sponsors like the Bardy family can play a significant role in contributing to the equipment of ZEW.”

For decades, Dr. Roland Bardy himself combined his professional activity in the industry with teaching assignments at universities. The promotion of young talent has always been important to him. He believes in his support for ZEW: “During my career I’ve learned the importance of maintaining the dialogue between business and academia. I’m convinced of the benefits of such an exchange and this is why I’ve been a member of the ZEW Sponsors' Association for twenty years now.
