The aim of this research is to collect data on innovation activities of the business enterprise sector in the State of Brandenburg for the reporting years 2023 to 2026. For this purpose, innovations surveys for Brandenburg will be conducted in the years 2024 to 2027 as part of the German Innovation Surveys, including an additional sample of firms from Brandenburg. This additional innovation survey for Brandenburg fully shares all methodical elements of the German Innovation Survey in terms of sampling, questionnaire, survey methodology, data processing and data analysis). The survey for the years 2024 to 2027 continues efforts of collecting representative innovation data for the State of Brandenburg, which started in 2019. Weighted results are reported for the population of enterprises in Brandenburg with 5 or more employees in manufacturing and business-oriented service sectors and compared to the results for enterprises in Germany and the other East German States.
