Climate and Energy Policy Assessment Model - Further Developments (CEPAM-FD)

Climate and Energy Policy Assessment Model - Further Developments (CEPAM-FD)

This project continues on the CEPAM framework, which provides the IPTS with a computable general equilibrium (CGE) model that accommodates rigorous and comprehensive quantitative assessment of the economic impacts induced by energy, technology and climate policies. In CEPAM-FD the existing CGE model was developed further by an extensive sensitivity analysis both with regard to values of key parameters and nesting structures to determine their implications and robustness. The incorporation of a finer multiple household specification, the expansion of the time horizon of the existing model to 2050 and the modeling of regional damage functions were among the further objectives of the project. Finally the project aimed at a game theoretical analysis of the stability of possible coalition structures based on regional benefits and costs from the CGE model.
