Pensions and Sustainable Financial Markets
Professor Christian Conrad is a ZEW Research Associate. He cooperates closely with the Research Unit “Pensions and Sustainable Financial Markets”. Since 2011, Christian Conrad has been a professor of empirical economics at the Alfred-Weber-Institute of Economics at Heidelberg University. His research interests are in the areas of modelling and forecasting financial market risks, macroeconomic forecasting and monetary policy, as well as macroeconomic expectation formation. His work has been published in the European Economic Review, Journal of Applied Econometrics, Journal of Econometrics, Journal of Business & Economic Statistics, and the Journal of Money, Credit and Banking, amongst others.
Christian Conrad studied economics in Heidelberg and at the University of York, did his PhD at the University of Mannheim, was a postdoc at the KOF Swiss Economic Institute at ETH Zurich and an assistant professor at Heidelberg University. He is a senior fellow at the Rimini Centre for Economic Analysis and an external fellow at the Center for European Studies (CefES-DEMS), Italy.
