Pensions and Sustainable Financial Markets
Marius Cziriak studied economics at Heidelberg University and the University of Munich (LMU). In his master’s thesis, he focused on the influence of childhood circumstances on investment decisions over the life-cycle and their impact on the accumulation of wealth in old age.
In September 2019, he started his PhD at the Center for Doctoral Studies in Business (CDSB) of the Graduate School of Economic and Social Sciences (GESS) at the University of Mannheim. In September 2020, he joined ZEW’s Research Unit “Pensions and Sustainable Financial Markets”. His dissertation is supervised by Professor Tabea Bucher-Koenen.
His research interests are in the field of household finance. His work focuses on the determinants of wealth accumulation, social security systems and private old-age provision, as well as health aspects of savings and insurance decisions.
