Corporate Taxation and Public Finance

Johannes Gaul joined ZEW’s Research Unit “Corporate Taxation and Public Finance” as a researcher in September 2022. His research interests lie in the area of political economy, company taxation, real effects of taxes and tax competition.

After completing a dual studies programme at Robert Bosch GmbH in Stuttgart, he studied business administration in the master’s programme at the University of Mannheim. During this time, he spent two semesters abroad, at the Copenhagen Business School and at HEC Paris, and completed an internship in Mexico City. Johannes Gaul joined the PhD programme at the Center for Doctoral Studies in Business of the University of Mannheim in September 2021. His dissertation is supervised by Professor Christoph Spengel.
