Private Capital as the Key to the Green Transformation?

ZEW Lunch Debate in Brussels

The ZEW Lunch Debate on 18 March will focus on the question: What policy frameworks and instruments are needed to mobilise private capital for the green transition?

In order to achieve the goal of climate neutrality by 2050, massive investments in the green transformation are necessary. However, public funding alone is not enough to finance this change. Private investors promoting sustainable technologies, production methods and innovations have a crucial role to play. Both EU Member States and the European Commission are increasingly focusing on policies to specifically encourage private investment.

What policy frameworks and instruments are needed to mobilise private capital for the green transition? This question will be the focus of the ZEW Lunch Debate on 18 March 2025 at 12 noon in Brussels.
